Using the theme "naturally resilient" I wanted to create a sense of optimism set amongst a desolate landscape. The juxtaposition of the barren tall forest with the surprising location of the lighthouse and its enchanted light-cast creates a mysterious story. The lighthouse is a social symbol of encouragement, and at times hope, in the dark of the night. the building is a sturdy, tall, and stagnant despite its enclosing surroundings. To me naturally resilient is a representation of a powerful durability despite the fragility of marginalization.
